Impact of canistherapy on the physically impaired and the mentally impaired in a day care centre

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o působení canisterapie na osoby s tělesným a mentálním postižením, kteří navštěvují denní stacionář. V první části teoretické části se práce zabývá mentálním a tělesným postižením, jejich charakteristikou, dělením. Vysvětluje vzdělávacím systém osob s tímto postižením a jejich ucelenou rehabilitaci. Druhá část teoretické části bakalářské práce je zaměřena na zooterapii a její metody a na canisterapii samotnou. Její působení na člověka s tělesným nebo mentálním postižením. Ve výzkumné části je popsán průběh šetření, který proběhl kvalitativní metodou pozorování canisterapie a je zde uveden rozhovor s canisterapeutem. Na závěr jsou výsledky práce shrnuty a celý výzkum zhodnocen, zda byl úspěšný nebo ne.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on impact of canistherapy on the physically impaired and the mentally impaired in a day care centre. First part of the theoretical part of the thesis is describing a mental impairment and a physical impairment, their characteristics and differences . It's describing system of education of people with these kinds of impairments and their comprehensive rehabilitation. Second part of the theoretical part is focused on zootherapy and its method and on canistherapy itself, its impact on the physically impaired and the mentally impaired. In the part of thesis's research, there is described a progress of research which was done by qualitative methods of observation of canistherapy and there is also an interview with a canistherapeutist. In the end, results of work are summarized and whole research is evaluated if it is succesful or not.
