Anotácia:

Tato práce srovnává tranzitivní a netranzitivní slovesa z hlediska četnosti jejich výskytu ve dvou typech dynamických sémantických škál, konkrétně v kvalitativní škále a prezentační škále. Práce se zaměřuje na ověření hypotézy, že v prezentační škále se netranzitivní slovesa objevují častěji než tranzitivní slovesa. V první části práce jsou poskytnuty teoretické informace o aktuálním členění větném. Ve druhé části jsou prezentovány výsledky analýzy. Výsledky jsou založeny na analýze 180 vět získaných z Britského národního korpusu (the British National Corpus). Práce se zaměřuje na podíl dvou typů dynamických sémantických škál mezi větami s tranzitivními a netranzitivními slovesy pohybu. Současně také zkoumá dynamické sémantické funkce podmětu a funkci rématu (rheme proper) ve větách s tranzitivními a netranzitivními slovesy.

Abstract:

This thesis compares transitive and intransitive verbs of motion in terms of the frequency of their occurrence in the two types of dynamic semantic scales, namely the quality scale and the presentation scale. The thesis aims at the verification of the hypothesis that in the presentation scale, intransitive verbs are more frequent than transitive verbs. In the first part of the thesis, theoretical information on functional sentence perspective is provided. In the second part, the results of the analysis are presented. The results are based on the analysis of 180 sentences retrieved from the British National Corpus. The thesis looks into the proportion of the two types of dynamic semantic scales among the sentences with transitive and intransitive verbs of motion. It also examines the dynamic semantic functions of the sentence subject and the function of the rheme proper in the sentences with transitive and intransitive verbs of motion.
