Regional policy in the Czech Republic at the level of NUTS 2 level

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce analyzuje prostřednictvím konkrétního Operačního programu Průmysl a podnikání schopnost jednotlivých regionů soudržnosti NUTS2 čerpat finanční zdroje ze Strukturálních fondů EU. Na základě této evaluace je zároveň možné učinit závěr jak je tento operační program úspěšný. V první části práce je představena regionální politika EU z pohledu konkrétních cílů a fondů. Rovněž jsou v práci vymezeny statistické jednotky oprávněné z fondů finanční podporu čerpat. V práci je podrobněji charakterizováno programové období 2004 – 2006 se zaměřením na představení projektů čerpaných z Operačního programu Průmysl a podnikání. V bakalářské práci je dále více do hloubky analyzován samotný operační program. Bakalářská práce je doplněna konkrétními údaji MPO a ČSÚ, které jsou zřejmým ukazatelem schopnosti čerpání peněz z fondů EU na úrovni NUTS2.

Abstract:

This dissertation analyses, using the Průmysl a podnikání operating programme, the ability of individual NUTS2 regions to draw financial support from the EU Structural Funds. At the same time it is possible to conclude how successful this operating programme is on the basis of this evaluation. The first part of the dissertation describes the regional politics of the EU from the perspective of concrete targets and funds while also identifying the statistical units authorised to draw on the funds. The dissertation then describes in detail the 2004-2006 programme period, focusing on the Průmysl a podnikání operating programme. The dissertation further analyses in more depth the operating programme itself. This dissertation is supplemented with data from the MPO and ČSÚ, which are indicators for the ability of money to be drawn from the EU funds at the NUTS2 level.
