Czech photography as a communication tool in the context of historical photography clubs and contemporary web 2.0 from a perspective of competent actors

Anotácia:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na současnou komunikaci mezi českými fotografy a pokouší se identifikovat názory fotografů na formu komunikace v období klasické fotografie a na současnou komunikaci na internetu a specifických komunitních fotografických serverech. Teoretická část představuje starší formu komunikace mezi fotografy, jako jsou fotografické kluby a spolky, a zároveň nabízí pohled na moderní technologie využívané fotografy. Praktická část potom využívá kvalitativních metod (polo-strukturované rozhovory s fotografy a teoretiky fotografie) pro analýzu situace kolem české fotografie s důrazem na formy komunikace v minulosti a současnosti. Cílem práce je identifikovat názory vybrané cílové skupiny na komunikaci v současné fotografii a poukázat na jejich postoje k moderním technologickým trendům ve fotografii ve vztahu k minulosti. Práce rozvádí myšlenku měnící se formy komunikace ve fotografii vzhledem k rozmachu nových moderních technologií a analyzuje, jakým způsobem případně nahrazují internetové servery v současnosti staré fotografické kluby a spolky.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the current communication among Czech photographers and attempts to identify the opinions of photographers to a form of communication in the time of traditional photography and to a current internet communication. The theoretical part introduces the old form of communication among photographers such as photographic clubs and simultaneously introduces modern technologies used by photographers. Empirical part uses qualitative methods (semi-structured interview with photographers and theoretics of photography) for the analysis of the situation about Czech photography with an emphasis on forms of communication in past and in present. The main goal of my thesis is to identify the opinions of the focused group on the communication in current photography and to show their attitudes to the modern technological trends in photography in relation to the past. This thesis introduces the idea of changing form of communication in photography due to the boom of new technologies and also analyses how the internet and web serveres replace the traditional photographical clubs in present.
