Selected cases of breach of information ethics in the context of critical theory

Abstract:

Bakalářská diplomová práce „Vybrané případy porušení informační etiky v kontextu kritické teorie“ se věnuje vybraným případům, u kterých byly zveřejněny citlivé, či utajované informace za použití porušení pravidel informační etiky. Práce se zejména zaměřuje na známé případy spojené s aktivitami organizace Wikileaks a aféru Edwarda Snowdena, který veřejně promluvil o rozsáhlém sledování osob ze strany amerických tajných služeb. Tyto případy jsou zhodnoceny z pohledu myšlenek kritické teorie, která je v této práci použita jako směr informační etiky podle Floridiho modelu. Pomocí kritické teorie se tato práce snaží jednotlivé případy podrobně popsat, analyzovat a nalézt odpovědi na to, proč se tyto případy staly, jak na ně kritická teorie pohlíží a zda je pomocí kritické teorie možné do budoucna těmto případům porušení informační etiky předcházet, případně jak.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis "Selected cases of violation of information ethics in the context of critical theory" is devoted to selected cases. In these cases have been published sensitive or classified information and information ethics were violated. The work is mainly focused on known cases related to the activities of the organization Wikileaks and Edward Snowden, who spoke publicly about the extensive surveillance of persons by US secret services. These cases are reviewed from the perspective of the ideas of critical theory, which in this work is used as the direction information ethics by Floridi‘s model. Using critical theory, this work tries individual cases in detail to describe, analyze and find answers as to why these cases have become, as they are critical theory looks and whether it is through critical theory possible in the future such violations of information ethics prevent and how.
