Comparing approaches to explaining mathematical notions in German and Czech mathematical textbooks

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Srovnání přístupu k výkladu matematických pojmů v německých a českých učebnicích matematiky“ se v první, teoretické, části zabývá školními vzdělávacími systémy v České republice a v Německu, a také se zaměřuje na pojem učebnice, její funkce a roli ve vzdělávání. V druhé, praktické, části srovnává české a německé učebnice matematiky a výklad některých vybraných pojmů z oblasti aritmetiky a algebry.

Abstract:

The thesis "Comparing approaches to explaining mathematical notions in German and Czech mathematical textbooks" in the first, theoretical, part deals with school education systems in the Czech Republic and Germany and also focuses on the concept of a textbook, its purposes and its role in education. In the second, practical, part, Czech and German mathematics textbooks and the presentation of some selected terms in arithmetic and algebra are compared.
