The work with the text as a basis for the development of children's emotional intelligence

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce jsou čtenářské strategie a práce s textem jako základ pro rozvoj emocionální inteligence dětí. Cílem mé bakalářské práce bylo připravit textový materiál a k němu se vztahující aktivity využívající čtenářské strategie tak, aby jejich prostřednictvím bylo možno rozvíjet osobnostní postoje a hodnoty dětí předškolního věku. V teoretické části se věnuji vymezení charakteristiky dítěte předškolního věku a pojmům čtenářská gramotnost a čtenářské strategie. Dále se v souladu s cílem práce zaměřuji na rozvoj dětí po stránce osobnostní, zejména z hlediska rozvoje emocí a podávám zde jejich charakteristiky. V praktické části realizuji akční výzkum, týkající se chápání základních emocí, s nimiž se předškolní děti setkávají. Jednotlivé lekce jsou sjednocené tematicky, opírají se o texty vytvořené pro účely výzkumu a byly realizovány v hlavní části dopoledního programu. V průběhu akčního výzkumu jsou využívány čtenářské strategie podporující porozumění textu. Výsledky šetření jsou zaznamenány v závěrečné části práce.

Abstract:

The topics of the bachelor thesis are reading strategies and working with text as a basis for the development of emotional intelligence of children. The aim of my bachelor thesis was to prepare a text material and related activities using reading strategies in order to develop personal attitudes and values of preschool children. The theoretical part is devoted to defining the characteristics of preschool children and the concepts of reading literacy and reading strategies. Furthermore, in accordance with the aim of the thesis I focus on the development of children in terms of personality, especially in terms of the development of their emotions and I give here their characteristics. In the practical part, I carry out an action research that is associated with the understanding of the basic emotions that pre-school children encounter. The individual lessons are unified thematically, relying on the texts created for research purposes and they were carried out in the main part of the morning program. In the course of action research, the reading strategies are used to support the understanding of the text. The results of the survey are recorded in the final part of the thesis.
