Energy security and energy self-sufficiency potential of the Republic of Finland

Abstract:

Cílem práce je zhodnocení energetické bezpečnosti Finské republiky z různých hledisek na základě dostupných dat a potenciál Finské republiky na cestě k energetické soběstačnosti. Práce bude vycházet z dostupných dat a analýzy plánů a strategií, které obsahují rámec budoucího vývoje energetiky v zemi. Práce se soustředí na dosažení cíle za pomoci zhodnocení nynějších i historických energetických vztahů Finské republiky s Ruskou federací a zároveň zohledňuje provázanost finské energetiky s cíli a plány EU. Dále práce řeší otázku vybudování energetické infrastruktury ve Finsku k dosažení samostatnosti v tomto odvětví. V neposlední řadě budou v práci zohledněna úsporná opatření, která jsou již zavedena nebo se plánují v blízké budoucnosti zavést na cestě při snižování energetické náročnosti domácností a firem.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the energy security of the Republic of Finland from various points of view based on the available data and the potential of the Republic of Finland on the way to energy self-sufficiency. The work will be based on available data and analysis of plans and strategies that contain the framework for the future development of energy in the country. The work focuses on achieving the goal by evaluating the current and historical energy relations of the Republic of Finland with the Russian Federation, and at the same time takes into account the interconnectedness of the Finnish energy industry with the goals and plans of the EU. Furthermore, the work addresses the issue of building energy infrastructure in Finland to achieve independence in this sector. Last but not least, the work will take into account saving measures that have already been implemented or are planned to be implemented in the near future on the way to reducing the energy consumption of households and companies.
