Influence of change of dementia´s level and the type of provided care on mental burden caring person in home with a special regime

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vlivem změny stupně demence a typu poskytované péče na psychickou zátěž pečujících v domově se zvláštním režimem. Teoretická část objasňuje pojmy týkající se rezidenčních služeb, jako jsou legislativní rámec, domov se zvláštním režimem, pracovníci v přímé péči a struktura zaměstnanců v přímé péči. Další kapitola přináší přehled typů a příznaků u demencí, stádia demencí, restriktivní opatření a vyjasnění pojmu omezení způsobilosti k právním úkonům. Kapitola obsahuje také testy profesionální hodnotící testy kognitivních funkcí (stupně demence). Demence je v počátečním stádiu obtížně laicky rozpoznatelná, proto jsou profesionální hodnotící testy soběstačnosti a ty jsou obsahem následující kapitoly, která se dále zabývá metodami práce, typy a způsoby poskytované péče a úskalím přepečování. Poslední kapitolou teoretické části je kapitola zabývající se vlivem klienta, jeho rodiny, prostředí zařízení, organizace práce a pečovatele. Praktická část obsahuje dotazníkový výzkum zaměřený na získání poznatků k cílům bakalářské práce, kterými byly vliv změny stupně demence a typu poskytované péče na psychickou zátěž pečujících v domově se zvláštním režimem. Tento výzkum potvrdil, že pečující pociťují psychickou zátěž a ta je ovlivněna stupněm demence i typem poskytované péče, přičemž nejvíce zatěžujícím stádiem se jeví stádium druhé a typ péče podpořit.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the impact of the changes in the degree of dementia and subsequent changes in the type of provided care at the psychological burden on direct care personnel in seniors home with special arrangement. Theoretical part clarifies the concepts related to residential services as like as legislative frame, seniors home with special arrangement, direct care personnel, structure of the direct care personnel. Next chapter brings an overview of types and symptoms of dementia, degrees od dementia, restrictive measures and clarification of the concept of limitation of legal capacity. Chapter also contains professional evaluation test of cognitive funktions(determinig the degree of dementia). Dementia is difficult to recognize in early stages, therefore exist self-sufficiency evaluation tests, that are part of the next chapter as well as techniques of the work , types and ways of the provided care and the danger of overdone care. Last chapter of the theoretical part concerns the influence the client, family, environments, organization of work and the caring person. Practical part includes survey in the form of questionnaire focused on getting data refering to the goals of the thesis, that was the amount of influence of change degree of dementia and the type of provided care on the psachological burden on he caring personnel in seniors home with special arrangement.This survey has confirmed that the caring personnel perceives the burden and that this is related to the degree of dementia a nd the type of care, while the most burdensome degree is the second degree and the type of care is to support.
