Assessment of biocorridor functionality in Vracov

Abstract:

Vracovský biokoridor se řadí mezi nejstarší založené liniové prvky ÚSES na území jižní Moravy. Díky tomu a navrženým parametrům je vhodným předmětem pro zkoumání jeho funkčnosti. Na historicky založených trvalých výzkumných plochách byla provedena inventarizace dřevin, včetně zjištění jejich dendrometrických parametrů, zdravotního stavu a zmlazení. Tato data byla následně porovnána s výsledky posledních průzkumů. Obdobně byl proveden a vyhodnocen pedologický průzkum. Doplňujícím průzkumem bylo také ekofyziologické měření vybraných dřevin a floristický soupis. Na základě zjištěných informací byl dále vytvořen návrh managementu. Výsledky práce poukázaly na změny a schopnosti zjištěných taxonů dřevin, včetně jejich vlivu na okolní prostředí.

Abstract:

The Vracov biocorridor is one of the oldest established line elements of the TSES in the territory of South Moravia. Thanks to this and the proposed parameters it is a suitable subject for examining its functionality. An inventory of woody plants was carried out on historically based permanent research areas, including the determination of their dendrometry parameters, health status and rejuvenation. The data were then compared with the results of recent surveys. Similarly, a pedological survey was performed and evaluated. An ecophysiological measurement of selected tree species and a floristic inventory was also completed as a complimentary survey. Based on the information obtained, a management proposal was created. The results of the work pointed out the changes and abilities of the identified woody taxa, including their influence on the surrounding environment.
