The Roman Catholic Church as an actor of the Czech foreign policy

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce sleduje roli a vliv římskokatolické církve v české zahraniční politice. Hlavní části se soustředí nejprve na postoj aktérů české zahraniční politiky vůči římskokatolické církvi, dále na aktivity církve v české zahraniční politice, témata, která sleduje, a nakonec jsou popsány tři základní strategie, které církev v kontextu české zahraniční politiky používá. Pro uvedení do kontextu práce slouží popis role a pozice římskokatolické církve v mezinárodních vztazích a aktérů české zahraniční politiky.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis focuses on the role and influence of the Roman Catholic Church on the Czech foreign policy. Main parts of the thesis are focused at first on attitude of the Czech foreign policy actors to the Roman Catholic Church and second on activity of the Church in the foreign policy of the Czech Republic, topics of interest, and finally I define three basic strategies that are applied by the Church in the context of the Czech foreign policy. Descriptions of role and position of the Church in international relations and actors of the Czech foreign policy are used for an introduction to the context of the thesis.
