Egg quality traits of laying hens at the end of laying cycle

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývala jakostními parametry slepičích vajec (hmotnost vajec, výška vzduchové bubliny, index tvaru vajec, pevnost skořápky, výška tuhého bílku, Haughovy jednotky, index bílku, index žloutku, barva žloutku, podíl bílku, žloutku a skořápky, hmotnost bílku, žloutku a skořápky, tloušťka skořápky) od nosnic na konci snáškového cyklu (73 – 91 týdnů). Celkem bylo analyzováno 1163 kusů vajec nosnic hybridu Bovans Brown. Byl zjištěn pozitivní vliv antokyanů na Haughovy jednotky a také na zbrždění nárůstu hmotnosti vajec, nicméně pevnost skořápky a její tloušťka byla antokyany negativně ovlivněna. Vlivem krmiva došlo také k zesvětlení barvy žloutku těchto vajec. Jakostní parametry vajec nosného hybrida Bovans Brown byly na konci snášky (91 týdnů) stále spotřebitelsky přijatelné, proto by mohlo být prodlužování snáškového cyklu zvažováno.

Abstract:

A field of study was conducted to egg quality traits of laying hens at the end of laying cycle (73 – 91 weeks) such as egg weight, air cell depth, shape index, thick albumen height, Haugh Units, albumen index, yolk index, yolk colour, albumen, yolk and shell ratio, albumen, yolk and shell weight, shell thickness. A total of 1163 eggs from Bovans Brown hybrid laying hens were analyzed. A positive influence of anthocyanins on Haugh Units and on slowing the increase in egg weight was observed. However, the shell strength and shell thickness were negatively affected by anthocyanins. Additionally, the color of the yolks of these eggs was lightened by the feed. The quality parameters of eggs from Bovans Brown hybrid hens were still consumer-acceptable at the end of the laying cycle (91 weeks), thus extending the laying cycle could be considered.
