Influence of land use on surface temperature and temperature conditions in the ground layer of the atmosphere

Abstract:

Předložená práce se zabývá analýzou rozdílů v povrchové teplotě různých druhů povrchů. Analýzy jsou realizovány pomocí dvou metod, dálkový průzkum Země a in-situ měření. Data z dálkového průzkumu Země jsou získány z družice Landsat 8. Na základě těchto snímků jsou získány hodnoty povrchové teploty, čtyř různých druhů povrchů, v městysu Velké Němčice. Pomocí in-situ měření jsou zjištěny teplotní rozdíly mezi travním porostem, ovlhčeným travním porostem, dlažbou a korunami listnatých a jehličnatých stromů, ve vybraných dnech. Z tohoto měření je zjištěn, zda rostliny produkují, chladící efekt, a která vegetace se projevuje nejintenzivněji. Tato kapitola je v práci zpracována a popsána v praktické části, kde jsou hodnoty z in-situ měření zpracovány formou grafu a ANOVA testu. Z výsledků plyne, že nejvyššího chladícího efektu dosahuje listnatý strom, ten měl téměř vždy nejnižší teploty spolu se zavlaženým trávníkem v zákrytu stromu, pravděpodobně díky kombinaci stínění stromu a zavlažení. Naopak dlažba spolu s trávníkem vykazovala nejvyšší teplotu přesahující 40 ºC, což nenaznačuje žádný chladící efekt.

Abstract:

The presented work investigates the differences in surface temperature of different types of surfaces. The analysis is conducted by utilizing two methods. Earth remote sensing imaging and in-situ measurements. Data from remote sensing are obtained from the Landsat 8 satellite. Based on its images, values of surface temperature, of four different types of surfaces are obtained, for the village of Velké Němčice. With the help of in-situ measurements, temperature differences between grassland, paving and treetops are determined, under specific conditions during selected days. From this measurement, it is determined whether the plants produce a cooling effect, and which vegetation could show it the most intensively. This chapter is processed and described in the practical part, where the values from in-situ measurements are processed in the form of a plot and ANOVA test. The results are suggesting that the highest cooling effect is achieved by broadleaf tree. Very low temperature was also observed at irrigated turfgrass under the tree shade, perhaps due to combined effect of cooling and shading. In contrast, paving together with turfgrass showed the highest temperature exceeding 40 ºC suggesting no cooling effect.
