Characterization of Miscanthus x giganteus morphology

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá v dnešní době velmi populární rostlinou Miscanthus x giganteus. V teoretické části jsem se zaměřila na obecnou charakteristiku rostliny, její nároky na pěstování, fázemi růstu a využití, především v oblasti energetiky a fytoremediace. V praktické části bakalářské práce jsem se zaměřila na morfologii jednotlivých kultivarů Miscanthus x giganteus dostupných na katedře biologie UJEP a rozdíly mezi nimi. Zaměřila jsem se na počet výhonků, výšku rostlin, počet průduchů na listech a hmotnost suché biomasy jednotlivých kultivarů rostlin. Na základě provedených testů jsem uznala, že mezi kultivary rozdíly jsou, některé byly výjimečné počtem vytvořených výhonků, což ovlivnilo i hmotnost suché biomasy, která je přímo úměrná s množstvím vytvořené energie.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the Miscanthus x giganteus plant, which is very popular nowadays. In the theoretical part, I focused on the general characteristics of plant, their requirements for cultivation, growth phases and use, especially in energy and phytoremediation. In the practical part of bachelor's thesis, I focused on the morphology of individual cultivars of Miscanthus x giganteus available at the Department of Biology, UJEP. I focused on the number of shoots, the height of the plants, the number of stomata on the leaves and the dry biomass weight of individual plant cultivars. Based on the performed tests, I admitted that there are differences between the cultivars, some were exceptional in the number of shoots formed, which also affected the weight of dry biomass, which is directly proportional to the amount of energy produced.
