The subject of this thesis are the currency crisis in the Bretton Woods and post-Bretton Woods monetary system. The work is divided into four chapters. The first chapter defines the concepts of crisis, financial crisis and the crisis divides into four groups. The second chapter deals with different monetary systems. Predmetom diplomovej práce sú menové krízy v bretton-woodskom a post-bretton-woodskom menových systémoch. Práca je rozdelená do štyroch kapitol. Prvá kapitola definuje pojmy ako kríza, finančná kríza a rozčleňuje krízy do štyroch skupín. Druhá kapitola sa zaoberá jednotlivými menovými sústavami.
