Souvislost mezi self-efficacy, výkonovou motivací, úzkostí ovlivňující akademický výkon a akademickým podváděním u studentů středních škol

Relation between self-efficacy, achievement motivation, anxiety influencing academic performance and academic cheating among secondary school students

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce bylo prozkoumat a najít vzájemné vztahy mezi self-efficacy, školní výkonovou motivací, vlivem anxiozity na výkon a akademickým podváděním. Pokusili jsme se také o porovnání studentů z hlediska pohlaví a studovaného ročníku. Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 181 studentů středních škol, 37 % tvořili muži a 63 % ženy. Pro potřeby zmapování zkoumaných proměnných jsme použili test D-M-V, který kromě motivu výkonu zjišťoval i anxiozitu brzdící či podporující výkon u studentů. Druhým použitým dotazníkem byl dotazník SEQ-C měřící celkový pocit self-efficacy a akademickou a emocionální self-efficacy. Frekvence podvádění byla měřena na sebehodnotících škálách. Pozitivní korelace byla nalezena mezi anxiozitou podporující výkon a podváděním. Studenti, kteří častěji podváděli, svou anxiozitu brali jako pozitivní při výkonu. Vztah byl také nalezen mezi frekvencí podvádění a akademickou self-efficacy. Čím nižší akademickou self-efficacy udávali, tím vyšší byla frekvence podvádění. Pozitivně se self-efficacy korelovala také anxiozita podporující výkon (0,24) i výkonová motivace (0,34). Silnější negativní korelační vztah byl nalezen také mezi anxiozitou brzdící výkon a emocionální self-efficacy (-0,69). Nebyly nalezeny žádné rozdíly v měřených konstruktech u studentů rozlišných ročníků. Ani genderové rozdíly u podvádění nebyly signifikantní. Jen u anxiozity brzdící výkon viditelně výše skórovaly ženy.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis was to investigate and find the interrelationships between self-efficacy, school achievement motivation, the effect of anxiety on performance and academic cheating. We also attempted to compare students in terms of gender and year studied. The research sample consisted of 181 secondary school students, 37% were male and 63% were female. The distribution of students in terms of year was approximately similar. For the purpose of mapping the variables, we used the D-M-V test, which, in addition to the achievement motive, also investigated the performance inhibiting or enhancing anxiety in students. The second questionnaire used was the SEQ-C measuring overall sense of self-efficacy and academic and emotional self-efficacy. The frequency of cheating was measured using self-rating scales. A positive correlation was found between performance-enhancing anxiety and cheating. Students who cheated more frequently perceived their performance anxiety as positive. A relationship was also found between frequency of cheating and academic self-efficacy. The lower the academic self-efficacy they reported, the higher the frequency of cheating. Performance-enhancing anxiety (0,24) and achievement motivation (0,34) were also positively correlated with self-efficacy. A stronger negative correlation was also found between performance-inhibiting anxiety and emotional self-efficacy (-0,69). No differences were found in the constructs measured for students of different grades. Gender differences for cheating were not significant either. Only for performance-inhibiting anxiety did females score visibly higher.
