Consumer culture and group identity of metalheads

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je učinit vhled do subkultury metalistů a určit jejich spotřební chování. Práce využívá dotazníkového šetření, kde se soustředí na získání demografických dat a dále se snaží odpovědět na některé otázky ohledně identity subkultury. Dále práce využívá přímé rozhovory s respondenty. Zde se práce soustředí na získání vhledu do identity subkultury. Základem jsou tedy otázky sociologického charakteru, doplněny jsou však také otázkami, které se týkají spotřebního chování. Na základě zjištění z dotazníkového šetření a přímých rozhovorů s respondenty stanovuje práce ideální zacílení trhu a navrhuje kam soustředit marketingovou komunikaci.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to gain insight into the subculture of metalheads and to determine their consumption behaviour. The thesis uses a questionnaire survey to gather demographic data and also tries to answer some questions about the identity of the subculture. Furthermore, the thesis uses direct interviews with the respondents. Here the thesis concentrates on gaining insight into the identity of the subculture. Thus, questions of a sociological nature form the basis of the research, but are supplemented by questions that relate to consumption behaviour. Based on the findings from the questionnaire survey and direct interviews with respondents, the thesis establishes the ideal market targeting and suggests where to focus marketing communication.
