Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Ediční aktivity nakladatelství Meander a Baobab v kontextu české literatury pro děti a mládež“ se zabývá literární produkcí dvou českých nakladatelství Meander a Baobab. Ty se cíleně specializují na vydávání knih pro dětského čtenáře, na které lze pohlížet jako na hodnotné umělecké dílo. Meander a Baobab jsou na české knižní scéně fenoménem posledních deseti let. Ve spojení se současnými výtvarníky a designéry u nich vznikají díla, jež po grafické stránce v historii české literatury nemají obdoby. Jejich produkce se zaměřuje na vydávání poezie, prózy a komiksu pro děti a mládež. Baobab a Meander velmi výrazně přispívají ke zvyšování úrovně literatury adresované dětskému recipientovi u nás. Diplomová práce si klade za cíl analyzovat celkovou produkci obou nakladatelství a nastínit jejich pozici v našem i mezinárodním literárním světě.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis "The publishing activities of the publishing houses Meander and Baobab in the context of Czech literature for children and teens" deals with the production of literature of two Czech publishing houses Meander and Baobab. These publishing houses primarily focus on publishing books for children that can be seen as a valuable work of art. Meander and Baobab have been a phenomenon of the Czech book scene for last ten years. These publishing houses publish, in cooperation with modern artists and designers, works which are unique in the history of Czech literature. Their publishing activities focus on publishing poetry, prose and comic books for children. Baobab and Meander significantly contribute to the increase in the level of literature adressed to children. The goal of the thesis is to analyse entire publishing activities of both publishing houses and sketch out thein position in our and international literary world.
