Diplomová práca sa venuje editoriálnym stratégiám denníka SME v horúcej fáze volebných kampaní v rokoch 2006, 2010 a 2016 so zameraním na osobnosť slovenskej politiky Roberta Fica. Hlavným cieľom výskumu bolo zistiť, aké redakčné postupy sa v predvolebnom období uplatňovali, aký bol mediálny obraz Roberta Fica a či v priebehu troch skúmaných období došlo k zmenám v zobrazovaní politika.
