Native Speakers and Sign Language User as Participants in Tertiary Education of Student with Hearing Impairment at Masaryk University

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Rodilí mluvčí a uživatelé znakového jazyka jako účastníci terciárního vzdělávání na Masarykově univerzitě“ je zaměřená na vzdělávání osob se sluchovým postižením. Má část teoretickou, ve které se zabývám klasifikací sluchových vad podle stupně, typu a doby vzniku sluchového postižení. Dále se zabývám formami komunikace sluchově postižených osob, výchovně vzdělávacím procesem, znakovým jazykem a tlumočením. Hlavním cílem teoretické části je nástin problematiky sluchového postižení a k tomu navazujících oblastí. Výzkumná část je shrnuta do jedné kapitoly. Specifikuji zde použité výzkumné metody a techniky, zkoumaný vzorek, samotný výzkum a prezentuji zde jeho výsledky. Hlavním cílem výzkumu bylo zprostředkovat osobní zkušenosti účastníků vzdělávacího procesu a zamyslet se nad vylepšením stávající situace.

Abstract:

The master’s thesis „Native Speakers and Sign Language Users as Participants in Tertiary Education at Masaryk University“ is focused on education of people with a hearing defect. The theoretical part deals with the classification of hearing defects according to their level, type and the time of their emergence. It also deals with the ways of communication of people with a hearing defect, discusses the pedagogically educational process, sign language and interpretation. The main contribution of the theoretical part is the summary of hearing defect problems and related issues. The practical part of this work describes used research methods and techniques, as well as the examined sample, the research itself and its results. The ultimate goal of the research was to present the personal experience of the participants of the educational process and discuss possibilities of improving current situation.
