Diplomová práce nejprve shrnuje problematiku médií, mediální gramotnosti a mediální výchovy z hlediska klíčových pojmů a koncepcí, dále se věnuje daným konceptům v rámci českého i zahraničního prostředí. Při tom všem je zdůrazňována role veřejných knihoven jako vzdělávacích institucí, které mohou k rozvoji mediální gramotnosti občanů přispívat. The diploma thesis depicts field of the media, media literacy and media education and related key terms and conceptions together with Czech and foreign approaches to them.
