Intercultural management in business

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce pojednává o problematice interkulturního managementu v souvislosti mezinárodní kooperace v oblasti obchodu. Cílem je vymezení kulturních rozdílů v namátkově vybraných státech a znázornění objemu vývozu moštových jablek do německé společnosti. Práce je rozčleněna do dvou hlavních úseků. V teoretické části jsou charakterizovány základní poznatky a shrnuty odlišnosti čínské, izraelské, jihoafrické, ruské, americké a britské kultury publikované v odborné literatuře. Na základě shromážděných podkladů a získaných údajů je v praktické části popsáno obchodní jednání probíhající ve Spolkové republice Německo mezi českým podnikatelem a společností Obst-Kontor Natursaft Sachsen GmbH & Co. KG. Účelem tohoto jednání je uzavření obchodu pro nadcházející období. Závěrečná část je věnována kvantitativním přehledům exportu moštových jablek a nakonec jsou doporučeny případné kroky směřující k zintenzivnění zahraniční spolupráce.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis elaborates upon the inter-cultural management within the sphere of international cooperation in business. The goal is to define the cultural differences in randomly selected countries along with using volume figures of juice apple import to a german company. The work is divided into two main sections. Within the theoretical part there are essential findings and summarization of differences of chinese, israeli, south-african, russian, north-american and british culture as being published in scientific literature. In the practical part, based on collected documents and data, there is an account of business proceedings being held in Germany between a czech businessman and the company of Obst-Kontor Natursaft Sachsen GmbH & Co. KG. The goal the negotiations is closing an agreement for oncoming period. The final part of the thesis is devoted to quantitative summaries of juice apple export and, at the end, recommendations for intensification of foreign trade cooperation are presented.
