Sensory Perception with Touch and Smell by Persons with Visual Impairment in Garden for the Senses.

Abstract:

V diplomové práci shrnujeme problematiku smyslového vnímání (hmatu a čichu) u osob se zrakovým postižením. Toto téma je zasazeno do místa zahrady smyslů. Je nutné si uvědomit, že zrak řadíme mezi nejdůležitější smysly. Pomocí zraku vnímáme světlo/tmu, barvy, prostor, pohyb atp. Lidé s postižením zraku mají při vnímání tyto vjemy omezené, redukované. Jsou odkázáni využívat náhradní činitele. Jedněmi z těchto kompenzačních činitelů je využívání hmatu a čichu. Osoby s postižením zraku využívají kompenzační činitele v takových situacích, při kterých potřebují získat o objektu více informací. Zahrada smyslů je místem, kde lidé zapojují do svého poznávání více smyslů. V práci představujeme konkrétní možnosti, jak v zahradě smyslů mohou osoby se zrakovým postižením využívat hmat a čich. A také možnost, jak se může propojit svět osob s postižením zraku a svět osob intaktních.

Abstract:

In this diploma thesis we summarize the issue of sensory perception (touch and smell) for person with visual impairment. This our topic takes place – sensory garden. Remember, sight is one of the most important sense. We can perceive light/darkness, colors, space, movement etc. People with visual impairment have limited, reduced this perceptions. They directed to use compensatory factors. One of this compensatory factors is using of touch and smell. People with visual impairment use compensatory factors in such situations where they need to get more information about the object. Sensory garden is a place where people use for they learning more senses. In our diploma thesis we present specific ways for people with visual impairment for using touch and smell in sensory garden. And also way how we can conect word of people with visual impairment and word people without visual impairment.
