Basic library acquisitions analysis

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá analýzou efektivity akvizice dvou městských knihoven se srovnatelnými předem stanovenými kritérii v časovém horizontu let 2010-2015. Teoretická část ukazuje postavení knihoven v neziskovém sektoru se všemi souvisejícími aspekty rozpočtových organizací dotovaných z financí územní samosprávy. Důraz je kladen na využívání finančních toků plynoucích z obecního rozpočtu, poskytovaných knihovnám k účelu jejich zřízení a na demografická hlediska obou lokalit analyzovaných knihoven. V práci definuji základní oborové termíny a konkrétní pracovní pozice v souvislosti s kvalitou nabízených a poskytovaných služeb. V závěru teoretické práce se zaměřuji na základní mezinárodní doporučení knihovní organizace IFLA a jejich implementaci do připravovaného Standardu pro dobrý fond, který je implementací pro českého oborového prostředí. Praktická část porovnává shodná i rozdílná demografická hlediska obou lokalit působnosti knihoven a jednotlivě charakterizuje obě knihovny. Na základě získaných dat a informací se snaží ukázat všechny faktory, které mohou doložit efektivitu akviziční práce i poskytovaných služeb. Závěr je zaměřen na doporučené indikátory měření kvality fondu dle mezinárodní organizace IFLA s implementací českého Standardu pro dobrý fond. Analýza obou knihoven probíhala na základě dostupných dat z automatizovaného knihovního systému obou knihoven a z dalších osobních informací, která byla využita k přepočítávání jednotlivých hledisek a indikátorů dokladujících konkrétní výsledky. Obě knihovny si přály zůstat anonymizované. V závěru je zhodnocena celková analýza, porovnány výsledky a navrhnuta doporučení, která mohou být zevšeobecněny i na ostatní knihovny.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is analysing the effectiveness of the acquisition in two city libraries according to appointed criterions during the years 2010-2015. The theoretical part defines the position of the libraries in non profit sector with all the aspects of subsidary organizations subsidized by territorial self government. The aim is focused on use of public financing of these two libraries providing for the system and providing for the demographic position of the both analyzed libraries. The theorethical part defineses sential terminology and work positions according to quality of the librarian service. In the end of the theoretical part the thesis focused od Methodics, Standards and Recommendations of IFLA and its implementation to „Good standard fund“ for the Czech teritory. The practical part of diploma thesis compares identical and different demographical aspects and describes these two libraries. In the base of gained data and information shows all the aspects, which can demonstrate the effectivenes sof the acquisition and service. The conclusion focuces on recommended indicators of the quality measurement according to IFLA together with implementation of the „Good standard fund.“ Analysis of the both library deals with accesible information from the automatic library system and with other personal information, which were used for count of the particular aspects and indicators to provethe gained results. Both library were anonymous (according to the wish). The final section focuses on the whole analyse, compares the results and presents the proposals and recommendation for other libraries.
