Competences of the primary school teacher

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o profesních kompetencích učitele primární školy. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na učitele, osobnost učitele, začínajícího učitele a učitele experta a na specifika učitele primární školy. Součástí teoretické části je také vymezení pojmu kompetence učitele a třídění jednotlivých kompetencí. Cílem empirické části je zjistit, které profesní kompetence považují učitelé primární školy za klíčové pro výkon svého povolání, zjistit rozdíl v sebehodnocení daných kompetencí u začínajících učitelů a u učitelů s praxí nad 20 let a také, jaké prostředky učitelé primární školy nejvíce využívají ke svému profesnímu rozvoji.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the professional competencies of primary school teachers. The theoretical part focuses on a teacher, teacher's personality, teacher-beginner, experienced teacher and specifics of a primary school teacher. It also includes a definition of the term competences of a teacher and a classification of particular professional competencies. The aim of the empirical part is to find out which key competencies the primary school teachers consider as crucial to their profession, to find out the difference in self evaluation of given competencies for teachers - beginners, for teachers with practice over 20 years, and also what resources are mostly used by the primary school teachers for their professional development.
