Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá dlouhodobou udržitelností projektu dostavby science centra a výstavby planetária neziskové organizace Techmania Science Center o.p.s. V úvodu práce byla představena specifika neziskových organizací. Zbytek práce se již zabýval samotnou udržitelností projektu. Nejprve byla provedena analýza vnitřního a vnějšího prostředí se zaměřením na faktory, které by do budoucna mohly udržitelnost projektu ovlivnit. Následně byla na základě strategické analýzy určena vhodná marketingová strategie a byl analyzován dopad projektu na strukturu neformálního vzdělávání v regionu. Klíčovým bodem práce byla predikce budoucí návštěvnosti centra mezi lety 2014 až 2019. Samotná dlouhodobá udržitelnost byla hodnocena na základě budoucí schopnosti centra hradit své provozní náklady provozními příjmy ze vstupného a ziskem z doplňkové činnosti. V závěru práce byla identifikována možná rizika ohrožující udržitelnost a naznačen způsob jejich ošetření. Provedená analýza ukázala, že je projekt při dosažení hranice 163 tisíc návštěvníků za rok dlouhodobě udržitelný a má potenciál k tomu mít velký dopad na neformální vzdělávání v regionu.

Abstract:

This thesis analyses the long term sustainability of a Techmania Science Center o.p.s. project, which deals with the completion of the Science Center and the construction of the Planetarium. The initial part of the thesis introduces specific characteristics of non-profit organizations. The rest of the thesis deals with the project´s sustainability. Firstly, external and internal influences on the sustainability of the project were identified. Then, based on the strategic analysis, a suitable marketing strategy for the project was chosen, and the influence on the informal learning environment of the local region was analyzed. The key point of the thesis was to predict the future visitor rate between the years 2014 and 2019. The project´s sustainability was analyzed based on the center´s future ability to cover their operating costs from ticket revenue and profit from additional center activities. In the conclusion of this thesis, potential risks and suggestions regarding how to handle these risks involved were described. The analysis carried out in this thesis shows that the project is sustainable if it reaches 163 thousand visitors per year and there is great potential for it to have a big influence on the informal learning opportunities and structure in the local region.
