Abstract:

Bakalářská práce s názvem "Masarykův ústav pro matky a kojence v Ostravě v letech 1923-1946" je teoretická práce. Cílem je deskripce historie a vývoje Masarykova ústavu v kontextu sociální práce a obecný popis historie kojeneckých ústavů. Metodologicky je práce ukotvena analýzou dostupných materiálů. Vzhledem k časovému období, byly využity archivní dokumenty z Archivu města Ostravy, materiály z dětského centra Domeček, dobová literatura a časopis Sociální pracovnice. Na úvod, tato práce poskytuje náhled na sociální práci a péči o děti na přelomu 19. a 20. století. Dále se pak zabývá posláním, činností a významnými lékaři Masarykova ústavu. Závěr této práce je věnován historii kojeneckých ústavů a dětem v ústavní péči obecně.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis entitled "Masaryk Institute for mothers and sucklings in Ostrava in the years 1923-1946" is a theoretical work. The aim is to describe the history and development of the Masaryk Institute in the context of social work and a general description of the history of nursing homes. Methodological work is anchored analysis of available materials. Given the time period they were used archival documents from the Archives of the City of Ostrava, materials from the children's center Domeček, contemporary literature magazine and social worker. At the outset, this work provides insight into the social work and care for children in the 19th and 20th centuries. Then it deals with the mission, activities and major medical Masaryk Institute. The conclusion of this work is devoted to the history of nursing homes and children in institutional care in general.
