The attitudes of staff home for people with disabilities to the restrictive measures

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje postojům personálu k restriktivním opatřením. Jsou to taková opatření, kterými je omezován pohyb uživatele. Problematika restriktivních opatření se týká všech druhů sociálních služeb, tato práce se zaměřuje na pobytovou službu, kterou je domov pro osoby se zdravotním postižením. V úvodní části bakalářské práce jsou vymezeny a charakterizovány základní pojmy, které se tématu bezprostředně týkají. Cílem této práce bylo zjistit postoje personálu domova pro osoby se zdravotním postižením k restriktivním opatřením. Postoje personálu byly zjišťovány pomocí kvantitativního výzkumného šetření, konkrétně prostřednictvím anonymních dotazníků. Bylo zjištěno, že pracovníci zařízení mají kladný postoj k restrikcím, ale pouze v případech, kdy se klient chová agresivně a ohrožuje tak sebe, nebo své okolí. Na základě toho, byl pro pracovníky vytvořen návrh, jak tyto situace minimalizovat.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the attitudes of staff to restrictive measures. They are such measures is limited by the movement. The issue of restriction measures applies to all types of social services; this work focuses on residential service which is home for people with disabilities. In the first part of this work there are defined and characterized the basic concepts that are immediately relevant to the topic. The aim of this study was to find out the attitudes of staff of home for the disabled persons to restrictive measures. The attitudes of staff were determined by quantitative research, concretely through anonymous questionnaires. It was found that workers having a positive attitude to restrictions but only in the cases where the client is acting aggressively and threatening to themselves or others. On this basis was created the proposal for the workers how to minimize these situations.
