Comparison of swimming performance of students of Physical Education and Sport at the University J.E.Purkyně in the years 2008-2019.

Abstract:

V této diplomové práci výzkumného charakteru analyzujeme a porovnáváme plaveckou výkonnost studentů tělesné výchovy a sportu Univerzity Jana Evangelisty Purkyně v letech 2008-2019. Výzkumným cílem je zjistit, zdali během let došlo ke statisticky, případně věcně významným rozdílům. V teoretické části se zabýváme obecnými záležitostmi, týkající se plavání, sportovního výkonu a výkonnosti. Dále popisujeme plaveckou výuku a její členění na Univerzitě Jana Evangelisty Purkyně a v poslední části uvádíme výsledky obdobných studií z minulých let. V rámci výzkumu jsme použili data naměřených časů (v sekundách) z plaveckého testu na 100 metrů kraul a 100 metrů prsa, jak u mužů, tak u žen. Pomocí statistických metod analyzujeme plavecké výkony, které jsou interpretovány ve výsledcích. Na závěr získané výsledky porovnáváme a komentujeme v diskuzi.

Abstract:

In this diploma thesis of a research character we analyze and compare the swimming performance of students of physical education and sport at University of Jan Evangelista Purkyně in period 2008-2019. The research objective is to find out whether there have been statistically and practical significant differences during the period. In the theoretical part we talk about general matters concerning swimming and performance. Furthermore, we describe the swimming lesson and its structure at the University of Jan Evangelista Purkyně. Lastly we present professional studies from previous years, which are very similiar to our topic. In the research part we used data of measured times (in seconds) from a swimming test for 100 meters crawlstroke and 100 meters breaststroke, both for men and women. Using statistical methods we analyze swimming performances, which are interpreted in the results. Finally, we compare and comment the obtained results in the discussion at the end of this thesis.
