Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá slovesem "dare", které může mít funkci jako lexikální nebo jako modální. Práce se zaměřuje na použití slovesa v jednotlivých formách. Jejím cílem je vyjasnit, ve kterých kontextech mají lidé tendenci používat konkrétní formy a také porovnat užívání slovesa v britské a americké angličtině. This bachelor thesis deals with the verb dare that can function either as a lexical or as a modal verb. The thesis focuses on the use of the verb in individual forms. Its aim is to clarify in what contexts people tend to use which form and to compare the usage of the verb in British English and in American English.
