Integration of children with special needs in the classroom

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je představit možnosti, jak může práce s keramickou hlínou přispět k integraci dětí se speciálními potřebami, zároveň nabídnout náměty do hodin pracovních činností spolu s postřehy, zkušenostmi autorky. Tomuto cíli je podřízena i struktura diplomové práce. Teoretická část vysvětluje pojmy potřebné k uchopení problematiky integrace dětí se speciálními potřebami, vymezuje například pojmy jako je inkluze, integrace, upozorňuje na důležitost pracovních činností pro děti se speciálními potřebami a zároveň představuje keramiku jako formu ergoterapie. V praktické části jsou uvedeny náměty s metodickým postupem pro práci s keramikou hlínou realizované s žáky ZŠ praktické a speciální v Mariánských Lázních. Práce s keramickou hlínou je zde vnímána jako terapeutický materiál pro možnou arteterapii a ergoterapii, díky nimž žáci se speciálními potřebami rozvíjejí své dovednosti, zkušenosti a jejich integrace je tak přirozenější. Již Komenský ve svém díle Informatorium školy mateřské, které vzniklo v 17. století, neustále zdůrazňuje nutnost vést děti od malička k pohybu, k určité činnosti a k práci. (Komenský, 2007) Upozornil tak na to, že dítě má přirozenou potřebu pracovat, hýbat se. Proč jej tedy nepodpořit. Proč nevytvořit pro děti se speciálními potřebami z této přirozenosti základ dalšího vzdělávání? Manuální dovednosti rozvíjejí další schopnosti potřebné k integraci těchto dětí do společnosti. Děti zažívají pocit úspěšnosti, cítí se jistěji, protože získávají zpět sebedůvěru a o něco lépe se jim pak daří i v jiných předmětech. Právě proto je nutné upozornit na význam pracovních činností ve vzdělávání těchto dětí a nezapomínat na významnou roli speciálního pedagoga. 53 Přínosem této diplomové práce by se mohla stát možnost využití námětů, postřehů pro ostatní pedagogy a zároveň skutečnost, že významnou roli v integraci a socializaci děti se speciálními potřebami se může stát i keramická hlína.

Abstract:

The whole theses should describe and highlight the advantages of working with clay for pupils with special educational needs. It explains the process of the children working with this fascinating material and everything they can do with this material, with the teacher?s guidance. Working with clay is illuminated as having potential here, especially in the context of art therapy and occupational therapy. Pupils develop major therapeutic skills and experience, so moving into a working environment becomes more than appropriate to their work. For pupils with special educational need it?s twice as important and necessary. Practical work brings among other things, the development of gross and fine motor skills, which are very important for those with special educational needs that have problems with these functions and are an important factor in special rehabilitation and re-education. By giving them the opportunity to make a certain product (toy, gift, every day item), which has a value in the surrounding area. This not only motivates pupils and causes them to achieve something but also gives them a sense of usefulness, which supports their overall place in society. From Komensky's work 'Information Kindergarten', which originated in the 17th century, 'there is a constant need to lead kids from infancy to exercise, for certain activities and work. (Komensky, 2007) it comes from his belief which he created in his didactics and other works. Behavior goes hand in hand with the refinement of wisdom, speech and action. It means that if I guide parents and teachers and my students to work with their hands, it helps them create not just wisdom or manual ability but their personality, which is very important especially in students with special educative needs. I took the liberty to quote our important teacher, who dealt with a child?s life from birth to school age and further school years to adulthood. These experiences and his views exactly match the content of my thesis, where we try to highlight practical work activities as very important, fundamental and paramount. 54 The contribution of this thesis could be a possibility to use ideas, observations of other teachers and also the fact that a significant role in the integration and socialization of children with special needs can become a ceramic clay.
