China’s cashless payment methods and the opportunities of their use in business applications

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje čínským bezhotovostním platebním systémům, konkrétně portfoliu služeb Alipay a WeChat Pay. Jejím cílem je představit možnosti čínských platebních systémů a na příkladech ukázat příležitosti, které tyto služby a jejich ekosystémy představují pro podnikové aplikace. Toho je dosaženo řadou dílčích cílů, které i čtenáři navíc přibližují situaci na čínském trhu bezhotovostních plateb, porovnávají tento trh s jeho evropským protějškem a v neposlední řadě analyzují možnosti a náležitosti samotné integrace.

Abstract:

The topic of this master thesis is cashless payment methods of China. The main goal of this thesis is to introduce payment systems of Alipay and WeChat Pay and to showcase the main opportunities they pose for business applications. This is achieved through a number of different partial goals that not only analyze the situation of payment methods on the Chinese market but also compare this market with it’s Europe counterpart.The main purpose of this thesis is to provide the reader with an objective overview of the integration of China’s favorite payment methods into both online and offline business processes and applications.
