Possibilities of non-pharmacological procedures in the treatment of headaches of non-traumatic and non-tumor etiology

Abstract:

Primárním tématem bakalářské práce je problematika nefarmakologické terapie bolestí hlavy neúrazové a nenádorové etiologie. Teoretická východiska práce jsou rozdělena na dvě části, první z nich je věnována bolesti, jejím aspektům, dělení, škálám určeným k jejímu zhodnocení, dále se věnuje klasifikaci bolestí hlavy, jejich diagnostice, popisuje vybrané konkrétní druhy cefael. Druhá část teoretických východisek se zabývá nefarmakologickou terapií cefael - popisuje čtrnáct vybraných nefarmakologických metod a postupů, praktikovaných při terapii bolestí hlavy. Praktická část v úvodu představuje hlavní cíl práce - přispět k řešení problematiky léčby bolestí hlavy neúrazové a nenádorové etiologie a vytvoření návrhu edukačního materiálu pro pacienty, dále dílčí cíle a hypotézy. Popisuje realizaci a uvádí data k průzkumnému šetření práce, prováděného kvantitativní formou dotazníkového šetření ve vybraných odborných pracovištích, zaměřených na plnoleté jedince, trpící minimálně několik týdnů bolestmi hlavy nezpůsobené traumatem či tumorem, zjišťující těmito respondenty pět nejužívanějších nefarmakologických metod a postupů při léčbě cefael, mezi které, podle výsledných hodnot průzkumu patří - úprava životního stylu, fytoterapie, pravidelné užívání a doplňování určitých vitamínů a minerálů, masážní techniky v oblasti hlavy a krční páteře a terapie chladem. Tyto data vedou k vytvoření výstupu práce a to návrhu edukační brožury, prezentující tyto nemedikamentózní způsoby osobám, léčící se s dlouhodobými bolestmi hlavy netraumatického a neonkologického původu.

Abstract:

The primary topic of the bachelor's thesis is the issue of non-pharmacological therapy of headaches of non-traumatic and non-tumor etiology. The theoretical starting points of the work are divided into two parts, the first of which is devoted to pain, its aspects, divisions, scales intended for its evaluation, it also deals with the classification of headaches, their diagnosis, and describes selected specific types of headaches. The second part of the theoretical basis deals with the non-pharmacological therapy of headaches - it describes fourteen selected non-pharmacological methods and procedures practiced in the therapy of headaches. The practical part in the introduction presents the main goal of the work - to contribute to solving the problem of headache treatment of non-traumatic and non-tumor etiology and the creation of a draft of educational material for patients, as well as sub-goals and hypotheses. It describes the implementation and provides data for a research survey of the work, carried out in the form of a quantitative questionnaire survey in selected specialist workplaces, aimed at adults suffering from headaches not caused by trauma or tumor for at least several weeks, identifying the five most used non-pharmacological methods and procedures in the treatment of headaches by these respondents, among which, according to the results of the survey, include - lifestyle modification, phytotherapy, regular use and supplementation of certain vitamins and minerals, massage techniques in the area of the head and cervical spine, and cold therapy. These data lead to the creation of the output of the work, namely the design of an educational brochure, presenting these non-medication methods to persons treated with long-term headaches of non-traumatic and non-oncological origin.
