Immigration and problems of integration in Germany since 1960

Abstract:

The thesis „Einwanderung und Probleme der Integration in Deutschland seit 1960“ deals with problems of foreigners in Germany and their integration. Based on various discussions about this topic I try to provide informations about current German society. Because I wanted to concieve this problem also as one of the possible themes for German lessons, the first chapter is devoted to a definition of cultural studies on Germany and its contributions to students. In this part I have mainly focused on different cultural studies conceptions, modern progress, various approaches and ways of usage during foreign-language lessons. Since Germany is, in the present, a country with a large number of immigrants, in the next chapter I deal with different causes, forms of and reasons for human migration. The consequential short historical summary discusses the most important immigrantion groups that significantly influenced post-war Germany. The largest space has been allotted to the last chapter in which I have concentrated on existing problems concerning the foreigner´s integration in Germany. The aim of my thesis was to record integration problems and to draw attention to a possibility of conveying a snapshot of current German society. Prior to and mainly during the course of the thesis it was necessary to acquaint myself not only with literature but with the daily press and internet reports that guarantee the given information is up to date.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Einwanderung und Probleme der Integration in Deutschland seit 1960“ se zabývá problematikou cizinců v Německu a jejich integrací. Na základě různých diskusí na toto téma se ve své práci snažím zprostředkovat informace o současné německé společnosti. Jelikož jsem chtěla pojmout tento problém zároveň jako jedno z možných témat při výuce německého jazyka, je úvodní kapitola věnována definici německých reálií (Landeskunde) a jejich přínosu pro žáky. V této části jsem se zaměřila především na různé koncepce reálií, novodobý vývoj, různé přístupy a využití v cizojazyčné výuce. Protože je Německo v současnosti považováno za zemi s velkým množstvím přistěhovalců, jsou v následující kapitole řešeny různé příčiny, formy a důvody migrace lidí. V navazujícím krátkém historickém přehledu jsou vyjmenovány nejdůležitější přistěhovalecké skupiny, které výrazně ovlivnily nejen hospodářskou, ale i politickou a společenskou situaci v poválečném Německu. Největší prostor je věnován poslední kapitole, ve které jsem se zaměřila na současné problémy týkající se integrace cizinců v Německu. Cílem diplomové práce bylo na základě aktuálních diskusí zachytit problematiku integrace a upozornit na možnost zprostředkování současného pohledu na dnešní německou společnost ve výuce. Před vypracováním a především v průběhu práce bylo nutné se seznámit nejen s odbornou literaturou, ale i s denním tiskem a internetovými příspěvky, které zaručují aktuálnost daných informací.
