Analysis of the incidence of the most common foods in Czech restaurants

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje analýze výskytu nejčastějších potravin v českých restauracích. Analýza je zúžena pouze na restaurace, kde si lidé nepotrpí na předkrmy a dezerty. Jsou zde zanesena pouze jídla, která si člověk běžně objedná k obědu či večeři. Cílem této práce je zjistit, jaká potravina se v českých restauracích nejčastěji nabízí. Dále se v předložené prací snažím získat informace o tom, zda jsou v jídelním lístku restaurací stále nabízena tradiční česká jídla nebo jsou již nahrazena jídly z jiných států nebo minutkovými jídly. Předložená práce je založena na třech hypotézách. První hypotéza pojednává o tom, zda české restaurace nabízejí častěji minutková jídla, než klasickou českou kuchyni. Druhou hypotézu zakládám na předpokladu, že jsou v restauracích nabízena častěji nezdravá jídla, než jídla zdravá. Třetí hypotéza předpokládá, že nejběžnějším pokrmem v českých restauracích je smažený sýr.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of the most frequent foodstuffs in Czech restaurants. The analysis is narrowed down to the restaurants, where people are not fond of appetisers and desserts. Therefore, the analysis only covers dishes a person ordinarily orders for lunch or dinner. The aim of this work is to find out what food Czech restaurants most frequently offer. Additionally, I am trying to get information on whether Czech restaurants still offer traditional Czech dishes on their menus, or whether they have been displaced by dishes from different countries or by ready dishes. This work is based on three hypotheses. The first hypothesis is that Czech restaurants more often offer ready dishes than Czech cuisine. The second hypothesis is based on the presumption that restaurants offer unhealthy dishes more frequently than healthy dishes. The third hypothesis presumes that the most frequently-occurring dish in Czech restaurants is fried cheese.
