Education and development in an insurance company

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou vzdělávání a rozvoje v pojišťovací společnosti ABC. Cílem práce je analyzovat a zhodnotit aktuální stav systému vzdělávání a rozvoje a zhodnotit celkovou spokojenost zaměstnanců v této oblasti. Teoretická část je zaměřena na jednotlivé části vzdělávání a rozvoje lidských zdrojů a na popis jednotlivých vzdělávacích forem a metod. Praktická část je nejprve věnována představení společnosti ABC a poté, na základě rešerše literatury v teoretické časti, je popsán aktuální systém vzdělávání a rozvoje zaměstnanců a uveden popis jednotlivých vzdělávacích aktivit pro zaměstnance. Druhá polovina praktické části je věnována dotazníkovému šetření, kde bylo cílem zjistit spokojenost zaměstnanců s jednotlivými vzdělávacími aktivitami i s celým systémem vzdělávání a rozvoje. Jsou uvedeny také rozhovory s vedoucími pracovníky, které probíhaly nad tématem vzniku nové koncepce vzdělávání a rozvoje. Na základě zjištěných informací z dotazníkového šetření a polostrukturovných rozhovorů byla následně navržena doporučení pro nový systém vzdělávání a rozvoje, která by mohla vést k efektivnějšímu vzdělávání a rozvoji zaměstnanců v dané společnosti.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis deals with an analysis of education and development in ABC insurance company. The aim of the thesis is to analyze and evaluate the current state of education and development system as well as to evaluate the overall satisfaction of employees in this particular area. The theoretical part of this thesis is focused on individual sections of education and development of human resources together with a description of particular educational methods. The practical part of the thesis is firstly dedicated to an introduction of the ABC company and then based on literary research from the theoretical part describes the current education and employee development system along with individual educational activities for the employees. Furthermore, the practical part is devoted to a survey, which was created to determine the overall satisfaction of the employees with the particular educational activities together with the whole system. This part also includes several interviews with the company managers, which were held on a topic of a new conception of education and development. Later, based on information obtained from the survey and the semi-structured interviews, new recommendations were made for a new education and development system, which could lead to a more efficient education of the ABC company’s employees.
