Changes in Intimacy and Sexual Activity during Pregnancy

Abstract:

Tématem této bakalářské práce jsou změny intimity a sexuální aktivity v průběhu těhotenství. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část se zabývá tématy jako je fyziologické těhotenství, sexualita a sex obecně i jejich vnímání z mužského i ženského hlediska. Dále se práce zabývá změnami sexuality během těhotenství a faktory, které na ně mohou mít vliv. V neposlední řadě se zaměřuje na bezpečnost sexuálních aktivit v těhotenství a případné alternativní nekoitální aktivity, i důležitost správné edukace v profesi porodní asistentky. Praktická část je založena na dotazníkovém šetření, které zkoumá prožívání sexuality žen v jednotlivých trimestrech těhotenství na fyzické i psychické úrovni. Zjišťuje, jak se v průběhu těhotenství mění sexuální touha a dává nám představu o nejčastějších obavách těhotných žen, i jejich zkušenostech s komunikací tohoto tématu ze strany zdravotnického personálu.

Abstract:

The topic of this bachelor's thesis is changes in intimacy and sexual activity during pregnancy. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with topics such as physiological pregnancy, sexuality and sex in general and different perception to it from both a male and female perspectives. Furthermore, the work deals with changes in sexual activity during pregnancy and what factors can influence these changes. Last but not least, we focus on the safety of sexual activity during pregnancy, possible non-coital activities, and the importance of proper education in the midwifery profession. The practical part is based on a questionnaire survey, based on set goals. This part of the thesis allows us to look into the experience of women's sexuality in the individual trimesters of pregnancy on a physical and psychological level and finds out how the sexual desire changes over the individual trimesters. It gives us an idea of the most common concerns of pregnant women in individual trimesters and their experiences with the communication of this topic by medical personnel.
