Práce se zabývá popisem hmotných a nehmotných prvků lokální kultury jihomoravského vinařského města Hustopeče. Nezbytnou součástí práce je i popis všech rovin ovlivňujících existenci těchto prvků a formování tradic, jako je geografie, přírodní a klimatické podmínky, historie města, vývoj populace, tradiční způsoby obživy a rozvoj průmyslu.
