Introducing the complex system of pupil’s assessment and self-assessment in the second grade of primary school and its influence on pupils’ motivation

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o zavádění komplexního systému hodnocení a sebehodnocení žáků ve 2. ročníku základní školy a jeho vlivu na motivaci žáků. V teoretické části jsou popsány požadavky na současné školní hodnocení, které vyplývají z osobnostně rozvíjejícího pojetí vzdělávání. Rovněž je uveden příklad komplexního systému hodnocení a sebehodnocení, jenž tyto požadavky splňuje. Další část je věnována motivaci a jejímu vlivu na rozvoj duševních kvalit života žáka. Samostatná část je věnována práci učitele a žáka s výukovými cíli v souvislosti s motivací. Cílem výzkumné části bylo zjistit, jaký typ motivace převládá ve třídě, v níž je používán komplexní systém hodnocení a sebehodnocení, oproti třídě, v níž práce s tímto systémem neprobíhá. Byl zvolen smíšený design výzkumu s využitím kvalitativních i kvantitativních metod. Výsledky srovnání obou tříd přináší odpověď na otázku, zda působí systematická práce se sebehodnocením žáků doplněná o hodnocení učitele pozitivně na jejich motivaci k učení a rozvoj sebehodnocení.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis deals with the introduction of the complex system of pupil’s assessment and self-assessment in the second grade of primary school and its influence on pupils’ motivation. In the theoretical part, the current assessment requirements resulting from the child development centred education are analysed. The complex system of pupil’s assessment and self-assessment is described as an example of such assessment. The next part concentrates on motivation and its influence on the development of the mental quality of the children’s lives. Another part focuses on educational goals and their influence on pupil’s motivation. The aim of the practical part is to find out what type of motivation dominates the class in which the complex system of pupil’s assessment and self-assessment is used systematically in comparison with the class in which this system is not used. Mixed design of research was used, which utilises both the qualitative and quantitative methods. The results of the comparison of two classes provide an answer to the question whether the systematic work with the self-assessment has positive influence on the pupils’ motivation and the development of their self-assessment.
