This master thesis deals with the topic of German and Czech adaptation of William Shakespeare’s dramas in the second half of the 20th century. Předkládaná magisterská práce se zabývá problematikou německých a českých adaptací klasických her Williama Shakespeara z druhé poloviny 20. století. Nejprve se zaměřuje na jeho tragédie Macbeth a Hamlet, které zpracoval dramatik působící v NDR Heiner Müller (Macbeth a Hamlet-stroj).
