Children’s Home in the Eyes of Its Residents: Evaluation of life in the children’s home, opinions of the surrounding people on life in the children’s home and impact of this opinion

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tím, jak mládež v dětských domovech hodnotí život v dětském domově a jak podle této mládeže nahlíží na dětský domov okolí. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část, skládá se ze čtyř hlavních kapitol. První tři kapitoly jsou podkladem pro výzkum, jehož cílem je zmapování názorů na život v dětském domově a nalezení rozdílů mezi hodnocením dětí, které žijí v dětském domově krátkodobě a dětí, které v dětském domově žijí dlouhodobě. Data byla sbírána v dětských domovech pomocí dotazníků.

Abstract:

The diploma work focuses on how the children and youth in children’s homes evaluate their lives and how they are seen according to their own opinions by the surrounding people. The work is divided into a theoretical and practical part. It consists of four main chapters. The first three chapters make a resource material for the research that aims to identify opinions on the life in the children’s home and to find differences between the evaluation of the children and youth who stay in the home in the short term and those ones who live in the home in the long term. Information was gathered in children’s homes by means of questionnaires.
