Attitude of secondary school students devoting to scouting to their own resources and barriers of resilience

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na postoj, který zaujímají středoškolští studenti věnující se skautingu k vlastním zdrojům a bariérám resilience. V dnešní době se stále více prosazuje trend, který klade přes existenci nepříznivých okolností důraz na pozitivní uplatňování lidského potenciálu. V teoretické části je tak prezentován koncept resilience a další pojmy, které souvisí s hlavní výzkumnou otázkou. Výzkum kvalitativního rázu byl uskutečňován s 10 respondenty, a to členy skautingu ve věku od 15 do 19 let pocházejících ze dvou skautských středisek. Výsledkem práce je nalezení odpovědi na hlavní výzkumnou otázku a sice, že středoškolští studenti, kteří se věnují skautingu, mají kladný postoj ke konceptu resilience v tom smyslu, že se snaží upevňovat vlastní zdroje odolnosti, zatímco vlastní bariéry houževnatosti mají studenti snahu oslabovat. V závěru práce se nachází odpověď na hlavní výzkumnou otázku včetně doporučení pro další výzkum i praxi.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the attitude of high school students devoting to scouting to their own resources and barriers of resilience. Nowadays the trend that puts emphasis on the application of positive human potential in spite of the existence of adverse circumstances. The concept of resilience and other terms related to the main research question are presented in theoretical part. The qualitative part of research was performed with 10 respondents, the members of scouting aged 15 to 19 years, coming from two different scouting centers. The result of this work is to answer the main research question, that high school students devoting to scouting have a positive attitude towards the concept of resilience in the way they try to consolidate their own sources of resistance, while they try to weaken their toughness barriers. The conclusion contents the answer to the main research question, including recommendations for future research and practice.
