Quality of life of pregnant women during particular trimesters of pregnancy

Abstract:

Cíl: Hlavním cílem práce bylo zjistit a následně porovnat kvalitu života těhotných žen v jednotlivých trimestrech těhotenství. Metodika: Výzkumný soubor tvořily těhotné ženy, které navštívily svého gynekologa v prenatální poradně ve vybraných gynekologických ambulancích města Ostravy od 1. 12. 2018 do 31. 1. 2019. Pro sběr dat byl použit generický standardizovaný dotazník WHOQOL-BREF a specifický dotazník QOL-GRAV, kterým předcházely demografické a doplňující otázky. Data byla zpracovávána popisnou statistikou. Výsledky: Z provedeného průzkumu bylo zjištěno, že se kvalita života těhotných žen, ať už obecná či specifická, v jednotlivých trimestrech liší. Nejlépe vnímaná kvalita života ženami v těhotenství byla ve 2. trimestru, nejhůře ve 3. trimestru gravidity. Většina těhotných žen hodnotila kvalitu života lépe než běžná populace. Nejlépe vnímaly a prožívaly těhotenství ženy ve věku 25-29 let, nejnižší kvalita života byla ženami popisována ve věku 35 let a více. Největším problémem 1. trimestru byly nauzea a přecitlivělost, ve 2. trimestru bolest zad, poruchy spánku a ve 3. trimestru hmotnostní přírůstek a poruchy spánku. Závěr: Kvalita života je specifická a velmi individuální při hodnocení těhotnými ženami. Těhotné ženy prožívají různá trápení, ať už se to týče tělesných či psychických změn. Výsledky výzkumu mohou pomoci lépe pochopit prožívání tohoto období. Je však na každé ženě, jak se připraví na těhotenství a jak využije možnosti, které ji mohou zpříjemnit období těhotenství.

Abstract:

Objective: Main goal was to gather data and compare life quality of pregnant women in each pregnancy trimester. Methods: Research objects were women, who have visited their gynecologist in prenatal clinic in chosen ambulances in Ostrava from 1. 12. 2018 to 31. 1. 2019. To gather necessary data, I have used generic, standardised questionnaire WHOQOL-BREF and specific questionnaire QOL-GRAV, which were preceded by demographic and complementary questions. Data were processed by descriptive statistics. Results: Survey has proven, that life quality of pregnant women, no matter if general or specific, differs in each trimester. Second gravidity trimester was perceived as the best, third trimester as the worst according to pregnant women experience. Most pregnant women evaluate the quality of life better than the general population. Pregnancy was best perceived by 25-29 years aged women, lowest rated life quality during pregnancy was described by women aged 35 years and above. Biggest problem of the first trimester were nauzea and hypersensitivity, in second trimester it was back pain, sleep disorder and during third trimester the observed issues were weight gains and sleep disorder. Conclusion: Life quality is specific and rated individually by pregnat women themselves. These women are experiencing multiple issues, troubles of physical and psychical matter. Research results can help to better understand the experience of this period. It is up to every women how she will prepare for pregnancy and how she will embrace the possibilities, that could improve her life quality during pregnancy.
