Bakalářská práce se zabývá vlivem odborně vedeného kurzu pro zhubnutí na způsob života účastníků a udržitelnosti dosaženého stavu.Teoretická část práce je rozdělena na tři tematické okruhy. První okruh vymezuje pojmy nadváha a obezita, způsoby jejich měření a hodnocení, prevalenci v ČR a ve světě a její následky. Druhým tematickým okruhem jsou složky výživy.
