Result analysis of the 2011 Census in Prague and its comparison in historical context

Abstract:

Cílem mé bakalářské práce je analýza sčítání lidu, domů a bytů z roku 2011 v hlavním městě Praze a její historické porovnání. Začátek práce je zaměřen na charakteristiku hlavního města Prahy, jeho polohu, historii a administrativní členění. Dále se v práci zabývám už jen samotným sčítáním lidu, nejdříve jeho historii od úplných počátků a následně porovnávám metodiky a samotný průběh sčítání lidu na území Československa v letech 1921, 1950, 1991 a 2011. Poslední částí mé práce je analýza sčítání domu, lidu a bytů z roku 2011. Nejprve se věnuji historické analýze, zaměřené na některé ukazatele, které lze z minulosti porovnat, a to především vývoj počtu obyvatel a domů ve čtyřech největších městech ČR, v Praze, Brně, Ostravě a Plzni. Součástí analýzy je i detailní přehled výsledků sčítání lidu, domů a bytů z roku 2011 v hlavním městě Praze, kde se zaměřuji zvlášť na údaje za obyvatelstvo, za domácnosti a za domy a byty. Práce by měla poskytnout ucelenou informaci o historii, průběhu, a hlavně výsledcích sčítání lidu v našem hlavním městě.

Abstract:

The objective of my bachelor thesis is to analyze the census of people, houses and flats from year 2011 in the capital of Prague and its historical comparison. The beginning of the thesis is focused on the characteristics of the capital of Prague, its location, history and administrative division. Then - in the bachelor thesis - I dedicate myself to the census itself. First, I devote to the history of the census from its beginning. Afterwards - I compare the methodology and the actual course of the census on the territory of the former Czechoslovakia in 1921, 1950, 1991 and 2011. The last part of my thesis is dedicated to the analysis of the census of people, houses and flats in 2011. First, I deal with a historical analysis focusing on some indicators that can be compared with the past, especially the population and house developments in the four largest cities of the Czech Republic - Prague, Brno, Ostrava and Plzen. A part of the analysis is also a detailed overview of census of people, houses and flats in 2011 in the capital city of Prague, where I focus specifically on data related with the population, households and homes and flats. The thesis should provide comprehensive information about the history, course and mainly the results of census in our capital.
