The pain as indicator of guality. Title: Pain management of patients after total hip and knee endoprothesis during perioperative period.

Abstract:

Strach z pooperační bolesti patří mezi nejvýznamnější obavy pacientů v perioperačním období. Teoretická část diplomové práce sumarizuje výsledky primárních i sekundárních studií, které se zabývají vlivem anestezie a léčbou pooperační bolesti u pacientů po totální endoprotéze kyčle a kolene. Z teoretické části vyplývá, že v léčbě pooperační bolesti dominují farmakologické metody. Doporučení osvědčených postupů pro farmakologickou léčbu bolesti zahrnuje multimodální přístup. Výzkumné šetření se zabývá měřením intenzity bolesti u pacientů po totální endoprotéze kyčle a kolene na JIP 0. 1. pooperační den a nastaveným managementem bolesti na vybraném pracovišti. Závěrem je zhodnocení spokojenosti pacientů s aplikovanou analgezií. Výsledky výzkumného šetření prezentují, že i přes vysokou intenzitu bolesti byli pacienti spokojeni s léčbou pooperační bolesti. Důležitým faktorem spokojenosti je vstřícný přístup ošetřovatelského personálu při poskytování ošetřovatelské péče.

Abstract:

Fear of the postoperative pain is one of the most important concerns of patients during the perioperative period. The theoretical part summarizes the results of primary and secondary studies dealing with the influence of anesthesia and the treatment of postoperative pain of patients after total hip and knee endoprosthesis. From the theoretical part, there are pharmacological methods of the treatment of postoperative pain. Good practice recommendations for pharmacological treatment of pain involve a multimodal approach. The research study deals with the measurement of pain intensity at patients after total hip and knee endoprosthesis in the ICU 0 - 1 postoperative day with an adjusted pain management at the selected workplace. The conclusion is the assessment of patient´s satisfaction with applied analgesia. The results of the research show that despite the high intensity of the pain, patients were satisfied with the treatment of postoperative pain. An important factor of satisfaction is the helpful approach of nursing staff providing nursing care.
