Growth models and applications

Abstract:

In this bachelor thesis we study the growth models, which can be used to describe the physical growth of animals. In the first chapter we define the basic terms that are later used in other parts of the work. In the second chapter we present well known growth models and derive their properties. In the third chapter, we apply this knowledge to data of the chicken growth. In this chapter we will use the known growth models as well as own models, which we created based on the growth rate, and we will compare all these models.

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci se věnujeme modelům růstu, pomocí kterých lze popsat fyzický růst živočichů. V první kapitole definujeme základní pojmy, které jsou později používány v ostatních částech práce. Ve druhé kapitole představíme známé růstové modely a odvodíme jejich vlastnosti. Ve třetí kapitole tyto poznatky aplikujeme na data, která popisují hmotnostní růst kuřat. V této kapitole využijeme jak známé růstové modely, tak vlastní modely vytvořené na základě míry růstu, a nakonec všechny modely porovnáme.
