Disruptions of chromatin organization in pathogenesis of intellectual disabilities

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce shrnuje současné poznatky týkající se poruch organizace chromatinu v kontextu mentálních retardací. Prostorová organizace genomu ovlivňuje jeho funkci, a tak případné poruchy organizace vedou k rozvoji řady chorob, mezi něž patří i mentální retardace. První část práce bude věnována charakterizaci mentální retardaci a stručnému přehledu jejích příčin. Hlavní část práce je zaměřena na samotné poruchy organizace chromatinu ve vztahu k mentálním retardacím. V závěru práce budou popsány metody studia prostorové organizace genomu.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is a brief summary of current knowledge about disruption of chromatin organization in the context of intellectual disabilities. Spatial genome organization influences its function and disruptions lead to many diseases including intellectual disabilities. The first part of this thesis will be focused on characterization and brief summary of known causes of intellectual disability. The main part of the thesis will be focused on the disruption of chromatin organization and its relationship to intellectual disability pathogenesis. At the end of the thesis, methods of study of spatial organization of the genome will be described.
