Freedom of speech

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou svobody projevu a především jejím historickým vývojem. Cílem závěrečné práce je definovat jednotlivé oblasti, jenž svoboda projevu ovlivňuje a naopak. Dále by měla čtenáře seznámit s důležitými historickými událostmi a dokumenty, které měly vliv na aktuální stav svobody projevu. Ve stručnosti jej seznámím i se světy, ve kterých se vše odehrávalo a s osobnostmi v nich žijícími. Dále provedu analýzu významu svobody projevu ve spojitosti s mocí a způsobu jejího omezování. Ve třetí kapitole se věnuji moderním médiím, jakožto nástroji využívajícího svobody projevu a jeho náchylnosti ke zneužití v mocenských zájmech. Poslední kapitola uzavírá historický vývoj svobody projevu časem současným, kde dává čtenáři, kromě komparace i možnost zamyslet se nad významem svobody projevu napříč časovou osou. Závěr práce obsahuje zhodnocení práce a postupy, kterými jsem se řídil.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of freedom of expression (speech) and especially with its historical progression. The aim of the final thesis is to define individual areas that affect freedom of speech and vice versa. In addition, readers should familiarize themselves with important historical events and documents that have affected the current state of freedom of speech. I will briefly introduce him to the worlds in which everything was happening and with the personalities living in them. I will also analyze the significance of freedom of speech in relation to power and the way in which it is constrained. In the third chapter, I deal with modern media as a tool for using freedom of speech and its susceptibility to abuse in power interests. The last chapter concludes the historical progression of the freedom of speech in contemporary times, where the reader gives the opportunity to reflect on the importance of freedom of speech across the time axis. The conclusion of the thesis is an evaluation of the work and procedures that I have followed.
