Evaluation of a company ČEZ, a.s. on the basis of financial analysis

Abstract:

V mé práci se zabývám provedením finanční analýzy společnosti ČEZ a.s. a odhalení jejích silných a slabých stránek v období od roku 2004 do roku 2007. Použiji při tom metody finanční analýzy, které nejdříve vysvětlím v teoretické části a poté provedu jejich propočet a zhodnocení v části praktické. Provádění finanční analýzy by se měl v dnešní době osvojit každý manažer, protože mu dává přehled o podniku a pomáhá při řízení, dále by ji měli ovládat i investoři, kteří díky ní odhalí problémy ve společnosti, do které chtějí investovat a tak mohou předejít ztrátě své investice. Každý podnik by jí měl zahrnout do své praxe. Finanční analýzy dokáže v podniku odhalit jednak nedostatky, ale většinou i jejich příčiny a vedení podniku pak může nalézt řešení a předejít případným nepříznivým následkům. Jelikož společnost ČEZ a.s. nemá v ČR konkurenci, provedu na konci mé práce zhodnocení podílu společnosti ČEZ a.s. na skupině ČEZ.

Abstract:

I am engaged in the performance of financial analysis of the ČEZ, a. s. company and in the discovery of its strong and weak points in the period from 2004 until 2007 in my essay. I use by this the methods of financial analysis which I explain to in the theoretical part at first and than I do their calculation and evaluation in the practical part. Every manager should know the performance of financial analysis nowadays because it gives him the review about the enterprise and helps him by the leading. The investors should know it too. They can discover the problems in the company which they want to invest in so they can prevent the loss of their investment. Every enterprise should implicate it in its practice. Financial analysis can show in the company not only defections but mostly their causes and the leaders of the enerprise can than find the solution and prevent possible unfavourable effects. Because the ČEZ company has no competition in the Czech republic, I do an evaluation of the share of the ČEZ, a. s. company in the group ČEZ at the end of my essay.
